Death toll is said to have increased to 7000 while hundreds of pilgrims are said to have sustained various degree of injuries in a stampede in the Saudi city of Mina, according to DW.
The stampede occurred outside the holy city of Mecca as some two million Muslims are performing the final rituals of the annual hajj pilgrimage. The Saudi civil defense service said nearly 450 people were also hurt.
