More than 50 flights both departing from and arriving to Domodedovo, Sheremetyevo and Vnukovo airports in Moscow were canceled Tuesday due to bad weather, the Meduza news website reported Tuesday, citing online flight information provided by the airports.
At least 13 flights were canceled at Domodedovo Airport, 57 flights at Sheremetyevo Airport and at least one flight was canceled at Vnukovo Airport.

Earlier on Tuesday, Russia's flag carrier Aeroflot announced that it was canceling 28 flights due to the weather conditions. On Monday a powerful snowstorm was predicted in central Russia by the country's Hydrometeorological Center.
“Around midday on Tuesday we predict a sudden change in weather conditions. The eastern fringe of a powerful cyclone is moving toward Moscow. Atmospheric pressure will plummet. The air temperature will rise by more than 10 degrees Celsius — from between -15 and -17 to -5,” Roman Vilfand, director of the center, was quoted as saying by the Interfax news agency.
