American pop star Taylor Swift is returning to China and wearing nine outfits for a single concert! She sang to a capacity crowd at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai last night, as part of a three-day run in town. Shanghai is the only Chinese stop on her "1989" Tour.
With her signature poise, Taylor Swift opened the night with "Welcome to New York", which is also the opening track from her latest album "1989".
The show was the second performance in Shanghai by the seven-time Grammy Award winner. Last year, tickets for her "Red Tour" in Shanghai sold out in just one minute. This time, Swift added an additional performance to the planned two shows but still sold out all 36,000 seats quickly.
Swift wore nine outfits during her 18-song performance, of which 15 came from her new album "1989". She has sold 100 thousand copies of the album on the Chinese mainland since it was released last year. Swift's tour has taken her to over 40 cities since May. She will stage another two shows in the city and then head to Australia.
